Mitemite Unnecessary Objects Lab – Urban Camouflage Laptop Case

Former Central Saint Martins MAID students have created a bag that hopes to deter thefts of laptop computers. When it’s wrapped up in the pouch, the computer looks like the front page of Frankfurter Allgemeine, El Pais, La Vanguarda, Le Gazzetta dello Sport or other European newspapers.

This method of target concealment was created by a Spanish firm called the Mitemite Unnecessary Objects Lab in Barcelona. They call their bags “urban camouflage.”

The colorful bags are made of a plastic fabric, designed for the MacBook Pro notebooks but will accommodate any number of brands – the size is about 15 inches by 11 inches – and costs about $85 each.
